Well Twilight fans, this news is about to take you to the moon and back!

More than a decade after the film adaptations of the Twilight saga reached an epic conclusion, a television series based on Stephenie Meyer’s four-part book series is reportedly in the works.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the upcoming series is in the stages of early development at Lionsgate Television.

However there have been very few confirmed details such as a network/platform or a writer.

Reports are that the author, Meyer, is expected to be involved in the highly anticipated project.

Meyer’s Twilight series became a cutting-edge pop culture phenomenon in the mid-2000s that produced five blockbuster movies — Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn – Part 1 and Part 2, starring Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

It is unclear if the future Twilight television series will include any of the original movie stars.

The Twilight Saga isn’t the only fantasy-book-to-movie franchise that’s about to hit the small screen.

Earlier this month (April 12) HBO Max officially confirmed plans for a Harry Potter TV series, described as a “faithful adaptation” of JK Rowling’s popular book series.

Stay tuned as your TV screens are about to get magical!
