Peacock on Monday (July 10), released the trailer for its upcoming live-action television adaption of the PlayStation classic, Twisted Metal. The trailer gives fans a glimpse of what to expect in the TV series, a comedic, post-apocalyptic, Zombieland-Max Maxesque, adventure staring Captain America’s Anthony Mackie.
According to the video description, Twisted Metal tells the story about a motor-mouthed outsider being offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland. With the help of a badass axe-wielding car thief, he’ll face savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and other dangers of the open road, including a deranged clown who drives an all too familiar ice cream truck.
Twisted Metal will be a half-hour, live-action, comedy TV series and star Anthony Mackie as John Doe and Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Stephanie Beatriz as Quiet.
