Detectives assigned to the Firearm and Narcotics Investigation Division (FNID) seized three parcels containing a white powdery substance resembling cocaine during an operation along Tower Isle main road in St Mary last Friday (November 28).

Reports indicate that lawmen acting on information intercepted and searched two motor vehicles.
During the search of a white Toyota Corolla Fielder, the parcels were found behind the front
passenger seat on the floor.

Nothing illegal was found in the second vehicle; however, over J$600,000 was seized after the
occupants could not give a reasonable account of the funds.

The vehicles were transported to the police station for processing, and two men were taken into
custody in relation to the seizure. Their identities are being withheld pending an investigation.
