Two members of the Jamaican Defence Force (JDF) have been questioned concerning the disappearance of a firearm from Up Park Camp in St Andrew.

The JDF headquarters was placed under lockdown on Sunday following the disappearance of the firearm, and a massive search was conducted to no avail.

According to JDF officials, a pistol was found to be missing during a routine inspection of the Up Park Camp’s weapon inventory on Sunday, August 3.

Vice-Admiral Antonette Wemyss Gorman, who heads the JDF, said all measures are being taken to regain custody of the missing firearm.
