With the season of love fast approaching and anticipation building, here are some unique ways that you can ask that special someone to be your Valentine, as you prepare to make lasting memories together.

Each year on February 14, couples gather to bask in their love and celebrate the connection they made that continues to withstand all.

But, before they can do so, there is one special question that must be asked, Will you be my Valentine?

Yes, that’s right!

Whether you are in a relationship or looking to start a romantic relationship, asking someone to be your Valentine is a tradition that many do not wish to skip.

For many, the simple gesture means that they are actively being loved and pursued by their partner, making them feel appreciated.

So, if you are not sure how to pop the question, here are some ideas to consider.

A love letter

For those who find it hard to express how they feel aloud, a love letter might be the perfect way to pop the question.

Write a heartfelt letter or poem to that special someone and hand deliver it to them. At the end of the letter, ask them the burning question.

If you are looking to score extra points, pair the letter with their favourite candy or chocolate.

Flower Bouquet

Gifting your partner a bouquet of flowers or a single rose is a simple but effective way to ask them to be your Valentine.

Attach a little note to the bouquet or rose stating why you admire or love them, then ask the question.

If your partner has a favourite flower, consider buying those to make the moment even more special.

Romantic date night

Date nights are a staple in most relationships, with couples taking time out of their busy schedules to reconnect.

If you have a date night coming up, find the perfect moment to ask the question.

A candlelight dinner is one way you can do this. Whether at home or at a restaurant, use the dessert portion of the evening to ask, Will you be my Valentine?

Scavenger hunt

If your partner is adventurous or very competitive, create a mini scavenger hunt to pop the question.

The clues can be placed at any location of their choice, whether it be their workplace, home, or car.

At the final destination, reveal your heartfelt request to be their Valentine.
