Tessica Brown, the woman who’s hair was petrified for more than a month after she used Gorilla Glue as a styling substitute, is finally getting relief from her ‘tough head’.

Brown had accepted an offer from Dr Michael Obeng, Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and director of MiKo Plastic Surgery
and MiKo Surgery Centre, who carried out a four-hour procedure – that would have usually cost US$12,000 – to free her hair.

But even with her joy, Brown now faces questions after it was revealed that the procedure was done for free, despite her raising more than US$21,000 through GoFundMe.

The Removal Process

Brown was reportedly put under a mild anesthetic during the procedure and, as soon as she came out of it, she reached for her hair.

One can only imagine how she felt as she finally able to run her
fingers through the strands of her once ‘tough head’.

Obeng said the removal process was ‘basic chemistry’.

He explained that he combined medical-grade adhesive remover, aloe vera,
olive oil and a little acetone, and, ‘Voilà!’, soft hair again!

Before Brown’s surgery, she had chopped off her ponytail and said she could feel a bit of her hair in the area where it had been cut.

“I can’t wait to get my hair back to that length.”

At least she won’t have to wear a wig for the rest of her life, which, in addition to her expected medical bills, was another reason she had started a GoFundMe page. The question for disbelieving online commenters, who accused her of running a scam, is what will happen to the all the money she raised since the procedure was free.

In reacting after learning of her procedure, Gorilla Glue expressed well wishes to Brown, saying: “We are glad that Miss Brown
was able to be treated and we hope that she is doing well.”
