Update| 9% voter turn out in St Ann North Eastern by-election as of 3pm

Voting for the St Ann North Eastern by-election continues at a snail’s pace, with a 9 per cent voter turnout registered as of 3pm.
There are 43,827 registered voters in the St Ann North Eastern constituency.
The Electoral Office of Jamaica (EOJ) said this year’s turnout is a significant decline to the comparative period in the September 2020 general election, which was 28.81 per cent.
The polls are set to close at 5:00 pm, after which the preliminary counting of ballots will immediately take place at each polling station.
