The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has identified the man shot and killed in an incident at Maroon Fest in Accompong, St Elizabeth on Thursday (January 6).

Dead is Lloyd Davis, a native of Bethsalem in the parish.

The JCF has also rounded up the injured total from five, in its preliminary report, to six including two children.

The JCF’s Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), while not commenting on whether a policeman was involved in the incident, said the matter has been reported to both Inspectorate and Professional Standards Oversight
Bureau (IPROB) and the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).

Accompong News had earlier reported that a policeman dressed in denim was allegedly the man behind the trigger.
