A mechanic has been charged with the murder of Sandra Risden, a senior paralegal who was gunned down on Washington Boulevard on January 18.
He is 30-year-old Ojo Russell, otherwise called ‘Jerry Stunts’, of Woodpecker Avenue, Kingston 11.
Russell was also charged with assault at common law, possession of a prohibited weapon, and unauthorised possession of ammunition.
He is scheduled to appear before the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Tuesday, February 13.

Reports are that Risden was on her way to work when Russell and another man drove up on a motorcycle and opened gunfire, killing her. An off-duty police officer intervened, resulting in a shootout on the busy thoroughfare. However, the men escaped.
Russell was later arrested and charged after he was identified as the man who shot the senior paralegal.
The incident is suspected to be a contract killing.
