US citizen charged for illegal ammunition at Sangster International Airport

A 49-year-old female who was arrested on Tuesday (June 20) after she was caught with illegal ammunition while attempting to board a flight at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay has been charged.

Reports are that Christina Hedgepeth, a resident of North Carolina in the U.S. has been charged for the unauthorised possession of ammunition.

A magazine with five cartridges was reportedly found in a compartment of her luggage during screening by port security officers.

She is set to appear in the St James Parish Court on Friday (June 23).
