United States Embassy in Kingston.

The US Department of State has announced that its embassy in Kingston has been selected as a pilot location for payment of DS-82 passport renewal fees online.

Beginning June 20, 2021, passport applicants in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands wishing to pay for their DS-82 renewal application online may visit https://jm.usembassy.gov to determine eligibility to use this option.

If eligible, applicants may then submit payment via US or international credit or debit card, electronic funds transfer from a US-based bank account, Amazon Pay, or Pay Pal.

NO NEED FOR APPOINTMENT ONCE REQUIREMENTS SATISFIED

You may be eligible to apply via online payment if you are an adult (16 years and older) who already has a 10-year US passport book issued no more than 15 years ago.

You must have the passport in your possession and must be a resident in and have a mailing address in Jamaica to arrange for delivery of the renewed passport via DHL or courier service.

If you pay online and send the receipt of your payment, your prior 10-year passport, the signed DS-82 application, a prepaid waybill and envelope for return, and any supporting documentation, you do not need an appointment to renew.

For questions about this online fee payment option or to cancel an existing appointment and elect to renew by mail, please contact the American Citizen Services unit at  [email protected].
