UWI student found dead identified

Kareem A Medley

A University of the West Indies (UWI) administration member has identified Kareem A Medley as the student who was found unresponsive in his dorm room and later pronounced dead.

Medley was reportedly a member of the Elsa Leo-Rhynie (ELR) Hall student’s leadership and was found unresponsive sometime this morning.

Our Today understands that he reportedly had epilepsy and is suspected to have suffered a seizure.

The family has been made aware of his passing.

Medley was a student of the Caribbean School of Media and Communication (CARIMAC), marketer and creative director.

He was also the public relations officer (PRO) for the ELR Towers Hall and lead producer for the WomanUP radio show on Newstalk 93FM.
