
Veteran broadcaster Daniel Thompson, who has been a staple on the airwaves for almost 30 years, has died.
He died after suffering a heart attack. Daniel Thompson, who is popularly called DT, served Radio Jamaica for 28 years, working across every time slot on the station. The radio station confirmed his death in a post on its social media pages.
He also had his own show on Radio Jamaica. DT’s most recent assignment was providing continuity on the station’s call-in programme, Hotline. He was also well known for the “X and Y” feature alongside Emily Shields.
Daniel was also one of Radio Jamaica’s newsreaders.
