Lead with purpose and passion
Samantha Charles, the chief executive officer of the VM Foundation, shared that the awardees embody what it means to lead with purpose and passion. She furthermore reinforced the foundation’s commitment to standing with the organisations throughout their impactful journeys.

“We are not just funding projects; we are investing in potential and building partnerships. The organisations are leading projects that touch on education, youth empowerment, disability inclusion, parenting, social enterprise, and financial literacy—from chess education in Parade Gardens, to water access in Barrett Town, to STEM clubs in rural St Elizabeth. Each project represents innovation, determination, and an unwavering belief in people—a belief that aligns closely with the values of the VM Foundation,” Charles added.
Expanding community development
In February, VM Foundation launched the VM ImPact Community Grants to expand its previous small grants programme. The foundation received 148 applications for consideration and began the selection process with a multi-partner review committee combining expertise from the Planning Institute of Jamaica, the Social Development Commission and the VM Group Market Intelligence and Research Department.
Courtney Campbell, president and CEO of the VM Group and Chairman of the VM Foundation, thanked the selection team for their support. He also echoed the VM Group’s commitment to empowerment and transformation.
“This programme is just one expression of our broader commitment to responsible corporate citizenship and the belief that businesses must serve a larger purpose. We have been investing in our communities, and we wish to leave a legacy of opportunity and empowerment for our people. In partnership with these organisations, we will continue to support a broader mission beyond financial wellbeing, towards holistic wellbeing. We are not just funding projects but shaping the future of Jamaica.”
