VM Group is strengthening its position as a diversified financial services provider while expanding opportunities for Jamaicans at home and abroad, Group President and Chief Executive Officer Courtney Campbell told Members at the Group’s 2026 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday (July 28, 2026).

Campbell said the Group’s strategy of strengthening its core businesses, investing in digital transformation and expanding its diaspora reach continues to position VM for sustainable long-term growth.

The Group reported operating revenue of J$15.36 billion, with profit before tax of J$870.9 million and net profit of J$523.7 million for the 2025 financial year. The results were supported by continued growth across the Group’s core businesses, disciplined cost management and improvements in operating efficiency. VM Financial Group, the licensed financial holding company for VM Group, delivered strong performance during the year, reporting profit before tax of J$1.6 billion and net profit of J$1.229 billion for 2025.

“Our performance reflects the continued execution of a strategy focused on building resilience, creating value and empowering people,” Campbell said after the meeting.

“We have strengthened our core business, invested in the capabilities that matter most to our Members, and are positioning the Group to seize new opportunities for growth.”

The Group continued to strengthen its balance sheet during the year, recording an 8 per cent increase in its loan portfolio, an 8.25 per cent increase in assets under management, and a 12.09 per cent increase in deposits, reinforcing the financial resilience needed to support future growth.

A key focus of the AGM was the evolution of VM’s diaspora strategy as changing customer needs create new opportunities beyond traditional services.

The presentation highlighted what the Group described as a shift among Jamaicans overseas towards wealth building, investment and Caribbean real estate. In response, VM is broadening its diaspora offering to include wealth management, pensions, along with expanded property services and housing finance facilities, supported by digital capabilities that allow Members to access services wherever they are in the world.

During the year, VM relocated its New York Representative Office, appointed a Chief Diaspora Markets Officer, launched its online Diaspora Hub and expanded its Group Online Onboarding platform to make it easier for Members living overseas to engage with the Group’s products and services remotely.

Looking ahead, Campbell said VM will continue investing in digital transformation, sustainable finance, artificial intelligence and new products designed to improve access, convenience and wealth creation for Members.

He told Members that the Group remains focused on building an institution that creates lasting value through its diversified business model, expanding digital capabilities and growing international presence.

“Our best years are ahead of us, and together we will continue building an institution that creates lasting value for generations to come,” he said.
