Now in its eighth year, the VM Building Society (VMBS) continues to support realtors and prospective homeowners through the 2025 “Win with VMBS” realtor referral programme.
Since its launch in 2017, this initiative has rewarded realtors for their critical role in helping Jamaicans achieve homeownership, paying out over J$55 million in referral commissions to date.
At the annual VMBS Realtors’ Brunch held on Wednesday (January 22), Latoya Williams, assistant vice president of lending solutions and business services, reaffirmed the company’s dedication to transforming lives.
She emphasised the VMBS’ commitment to providing personalised support and tailored solutions, ensuring more Jamaicans can own their dream homes. With over 146 years of experience in facilitating homeownership, VMBS remains a trusted partner in the mortgage industry.
“Realtors play a vital role in helping us achieve our mission to empower Jamaicans to become homeowners,” Williams stated. “At VMBS, we’re not just focused on providing mortgages; we’re committed to making the process seamless and rewarding for all our partners. Programmes like ‘Win with VMBS’ demonstrate our dedication to nurturing strong partnerships and delivering value for realtors and clients alike.”
The “Win with VMBS” programme will run from January 1 to December 31, 2025, with realtors earning a one per cent commission on every closed mortgage referral. This initiative not only rewards realtors for their efforts but also ensures that homeownership becomes a reality for more Jamaicans in an efficient and timely manner.
In addition to the regular commissions, top-performing realtors will compete for significant year-end cash prizes, including a grand prize of J$1 million, with J$600,000 and J$400,000 awarded to second and third places, respectively. Winners will be announced in January 2026.
Beyond its realtor-focused initiatives, VMBS has introduced a limited-time cashback offer for first-time homebuyers, available until February 28. Borrowers will receive J$14,600 in cashback for every $10 million borrowed, furthering VMBS’ mission to make homeownership accessible to more Jamaicans.
Clients benefit from online preapproval, flexible repayment terms, and discounted property valuations through VM Property Services. Dedicated relationship officers also assist clients, even in challenging circumstances such as low credit scores.
