The Fever artiste is scheduled to appear before the Privy Council of the United Kingdom this week.
His fans are waiting with bated breath, shaking legs for February 14 and 15.
After the failure of previous appeals, the reigning King of Dancehall who has been imprisoned since 2011 after being handed a 34-year sentence, is now looking forward to ‘justice being served’ by His Majesty’s Law Lords.
The Ever Blessed performer wrote on his IG: “We so confident #GazaNation” in a reel with his song It’s A Sin playing in the background with this same message of confidence being reiterate in the lyrics.
It seems Vybz Kartel’s resolve is that he is confident in his chances to win. His fans apparently agree, with one writing: “We do confident, no matter what they do they can’t stop greatness. Freedom fi yuh mi G”
Another wrote, “Freedom wi a pree.”
Kartel represented by a reputable team of lawyers, Bert Samuels, Isat Buchanan and seven other overseas-based attorneys, who will argue their case before the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
The CNW Network (Caribbean National Weekly) reports that it will have live coverage of the appeal, giving the people a chance to bear witness to the artiste’s last-ditch effort to regain his freedom after his life conviction. Joining the appeals are his co-appellants, Shawn Campbell (Shawn Storm), Kahira Jones, and Andre St John.
A great propellant for this expedited hearing is Kartel’s Grave’s disease diagnosis.
