Vybz Kartel, Lila Iké, Skillibeng, Valiant and Mojo Morgan among frontrunners for Reggae Grammy

Without a doubt, Vybz Kartel has made the biggest impact for a dancehall artist in the United States over the last year. 

This would make him a strong contender for a Grammy nomination in the Best Reggae Album category with his sold-out concerts and ‘Heart and Soul‘ album.

Lila Iké’s ‘Treasure Self Love‘ LP has been featured in mainstream American media publications including Grammy.com, Billboard Magazine and Rolling Stone Magazine.

Morgan Heritage presents Mojo Morgan with his solo album project ‘Jamaica Love‘, which features Gramps Morgan, Popcaan and Chronic Law has been featured in Newsweek, High Times Magazine and Hot 97 with Ebro.

Skillibeng has been on a steady upward rise, performing on major stages in the United States, including with Nicki Minaj. He has also made it to mainstream radio in America with his collaboration ‘Shake it to the Max‘ with MOLY and Shenseea. These factors make him a strong contender with his ‘International‘ EP.

Valiant, with his upcoming tour in the United States shows that his ‘Prove Them Wrong‘ project has made an impact. The album was featured in Billboard Magazine and also made Billboard’s Top 50 albums released so far this year.
