Since being released from prison on July 31, Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer, has been focused on his family and fitness. He has taken the reigns on his health, demonstrating his commitment by sharing with fans a video of himself seemingly at the doctor’s office.

The 48-year-old musician, who was incarcerated in 2011 for the alleged murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams, has been grappling with Graves’ disease and two heart conditions.

Kartel’s attorney Isat Buchanan, during his case consistently argued that Palmer’s health had deteriorated during his imprisonment and could become life-threatening without proper medical care.

When Kartel became a free man he announced that he would be seeing a hyperthyroidism and Graves’ Disease specialist. It seems the DJ is making good on that vow, prioritising his health and focusing on getting better ahead of his promised concert sometime in December 2024.

Fans got to see the severity of his condition once he started to make posts on social media showing his swollen face and bulging eyes, both symptoms of Graves’ Disease.

The Emergency singer posted a video on his Instagram on Tuesday (August 13), showing him plastered in Electrocardiography (ECG) wiring with the caption, “#FamilyandFitness memba #GodandTime doh?… OH (sic).

Under his post, his supporters cheered him, on his journey back to health.
