Our Today had the pleasure of asking international ‘tropical’ R&B artiste Lady Ele a few questions about herself, and here is what she had to say.

A brief biography

Eleonore ‘Ele’ Hansson was born in 1983 to a Swedish mother and North African father.

Her journey into music began at the tender age of eight when she first picked up the violin. By 11, she had already penned her inaugural composition, marking the start of a lifelong musical odyssey.

Navigating the trials of childhood, music emerged as her haven. Immersing herself in the soul-stirring melodies of luminaries like Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Youssou N Dour, Mary J. Blige, Erykah Badu, and Jill Scott, Eleonore became Lady Ele— and she has been on her musical journey ever since.

This journey has lead her to Jamaica, where she plans on dominating the reggae R&B scene with her “tropical R&B” flair.

Her track, ‘Smile With You’, a reggae love song featuring the legendary reggae artiste Ken Boothe is her latest release, which is now available on all major digital streaming platforms as of Friday, May 10.
