What a protesting group of Jamaicans may have lacked in numbers did little to ease the disquiet as scores of citizens voiced their disdain against the ruling political directorate.

Representing a small fraction of national disdain on Friday (May 19), citizens united in Emancipation Park bearing placards that criticised the Andrew Holness administration for instituting substantial pay increases for the next three years, effective April 1, 2022.

The agency, in charge of consumer protection as well as competition, said Infinite Style E-Commerce Co Ltd, which handles sales for the Shein brand, had misled customers about discounts, and that the company had accepted the fine.
