Gotham teeters ever so closer to anarchy as fans have their appetites whet from the latest trailer for the upcoming Joker sequel, ‘Joker: Folie À Deux‘ released on Tuesday (July 23) by Warner Bros Pictures.

In this sequel, Joaquin Phoenix returns as failed (now incarcerated) comedian Arthur Fleck where he meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn played by Lady Gaga, while cooped up in Arkham State Hospital awaiting his trial for his crimes as Joker.

Upon his release, the two of them embark on a doomed romantic misadventure.

The film also stars Oscar nominees Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin) and Catherine Keener (Get Out, Capote), alongside Zazie Beetz, reprising her role.
