International Men’s Day is a celebration of positive male role models and the contributions of men to their families, communities, work, society, and environment.

One such role model is Nicholas Benjamin, the Deputy Executive Chairman, Guardsman, who assumed this position from his father in September 2024.

In this interview with Our Today’s CEO, Al Edwards, Nicholas explores his 16-plus years at Guardsman, the Guardsman employees who informed his growth and leadership development, and cultivating the values of the Group.

Nicholas speaks with pride that the Group’s priority and chief obligation is always its employees, as the Group’s employees can never look after its customers if they themselves are not cared for. He also discusses that although security is a predominantly male-dominated industry, the definition of being a provider and protector has changed.
