Independent entertainment company A24 Studios has released the trailer for Sam and Max Eggers’ directorial debut, ‘The Front Room’, a horror-psychological thriller starring American singer and actor Brandy Norwood.
The movie is based on the short story of the same name by Susan Hill.
The movie tells the story of a newly pregnant couple who is forced to take in an ailing, estranged stepmother (Kathyrn Hunter), and she turns out to be evil. A42, in their announcement Instagram post, described Hunter’s character as “the wickedest mother-in-law of them all.”
Brandy posted the exciting news to her Instagram on June 20, stating, “It’s official! THE FRONT ROOM from The Eggers’ Brothers @a24 I can’t wait for y’all to see this. God, you’re Awesome!!!! I trust you with my entire life. Thank you for this amazing opportunity to work with this unbelievable cast, crew, and studio everyone wants to work with, and of course my Eggers family.”

Her first horror role was in 1998’s ‘I Still Know What You Did Last Summer‘, and this is her first time back in the genre, so fans are bursting at the seams with excitement to see her performance almost 26 years later.
Horror lovers will be glad to know the film will hit theatres on September 6.
