Netflix Inc. on Wednesday (August 16), released the trailer for its upcoming anime adaptation of the ‘Scott Pilgrim‘ graphic novel franchise.

A previous film adaptation was done in 2010 and is well remembered as a cult classic among movie lovers.

The story centers around the titular Scott Pilgrim, played by Michael Cera, as he attends to win the heart of Ramona Flowers by facing off against her seven evil exes.

The series which will consist of eight episodes with all the cast members from the movie returning to reprise their roles and developed by series creator Bryan Lee O’Malley alongside BenDavid Grabinski, and Edgar Wright as executive producer.

The series reprises the voices of Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Chris Evans, Anna Kendrick, Brie Larson, and Brandon Ruth among others.
