Wavell Hinds, the People’s National Party (PNP) candidate for Northern Clarendon, says the constituency deserves better roads and better leadership.

In a statement, he said the sitting Member of Parliament Dwight Sibblies, is neglecting the constituency’s road network — especially in areas such as Trout Hall, Anderson Town, Park Hall, Roadside, Chocolate, and Bog Hole.

“For too long, the people in these communities have suffered because of bad roads and poor representation. It is unacceptable that in 2025, our residents are still navigating pothole-filled roads and crumbling infrastructure just to go about their daily lives,” said Hinds.

Residents across the area have been voicing frustration over the lack of action, with key roadways left in a state of disrepair despite repeated calls for help. Communities like Park Hall and Roadside are especially affected, with some roads nearly impassable during the rainy season.

“This is not just about inconvenience—it’s a matter of safety, access, and dignity,” Hinds said. “From farmers trying to get produce to market to schoolchildren waiting in muddy lanes for transport, people are being failed every day.”

Hinds accused the current MP of being missing in action and turning a blind eye to the people’s needs.

“The neglect is real. The silence is deafening. And the people are tired of being ignored,” he said.

Hinds is reassuring residents that under his leadership, the cries of the people will not fall on deaf ears. As part of his Wavell C.A.R.E.S. agenda, road rehabilitation and infrastructure development will be a top priority.

“I want every resident from Trout Hall to Anderson Town to know—help is coming. We will restore the roads, restore trust, and bring back real representation to Northern Clarendon. Neglect will no longer be tolerated. We deserve better.”
