Hedged, a local waxing and skincare service provider, has announced its expansion in Trinidad and Tobago.

Noting that the expansion “marks a major milestone for the brand”, the company said it opened a new branch in Port of Spain. In addition, Hedged cites growth in revenue after being featured on the discount and coupon website Gustazos.

“We are overjoyed with the positive response from our Gustazos feature,” Tatiana Answer, founder of Hedged, stated.

“The level of impact from listing the specials on Gustazos was a welcome surprise, especially as the company’s focus had shifted from increasing our customer base in Jamaica to our expansion into Trinidad, where we aim to bring the same level of care and expertise to our clients in Port of Spain,” she added.

Located at Shop 28, Winchester Business Centre, Hedged is known for its body hair grooming services. The owner attributes the business’ success to loyal return clients and word of mouth due to its focus on client care.

Commenting on marketing and sales, Answer said Hedged’s Instagram page has less than 2,000 followers, yet the business has seen an increase in yearly revenues since its founding in March 2018 as a dorm-to-dorm waxing service on the Mona Campus of The University of the West Indies.

The new location in Trinidad, situated at 20 Henry Pierre Street, St James, Port of Spain, will offer a full range of Hedged services, including their signature waxing style, performed by licensed professionals using high-quality products. “To celebrate the opening, Hedged will be offering exclusive promotions at the new Trinidad branch. Clients are encouraged to book their appointments online or contact the business directly for more details,” the company stated.
