Wendy Williams wants out of her conservatorship, claiming she is not sick and is living in what she describes as a “prison”.

The former talk show host, who was declared ‘permanently incapacitated’ due to early-onset dementia last November, has vehemently denied these claims and is now seeking to terminate her conservatorship.

Wendy Williams has denied claims made by her guardian Sabrina Morrissey about her health status and mental state.

Speaking to Nightline’s co-anchor Byron Pitts recently in a phone interview from a New York Care facility, Willaims said, “How am I doing? I’m still in prison, so to speak.

“As I said, because it’s a fact, this is the memory unit. That’s what this floor is called, the memory unit. And, indeed, these people who live here don’t remember anything,” she said. “Look, I don’t belong here at all. This is ridiculous. Frontotemporal dementia? How dare you. And I’m not saying you, because I’ve been accused of having that. And how do you prove it by keeping me locked here so that you can’t see? I can’t go out.”

Williams’ court-appointed guardian is now requesting a second medical evaluation from the court after Williams publicly questioned her diagnosis.

The documentary TMZ Presents: Saving Wendy that TMZ released about Tubi examines her guardianship, which has now lasted for years. She claims that her life is lonely. She is restricted to a fifth-floor room in an assisted care facility in New York City.
