Global remittance provider Western Union is partnering with GraceKennedy Money Services (GKMS) to extend a special zero-fee transfer offer to customers in a bid to help families in Jamaica reconnect and recover from the impact of Hurricane Melissa.
To support recovery efforts, customers sending from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom can now send money to Jamaica with zero transfer fees when the funds are directed to bank accounts or GK ONE wallets. This no-fee offer runs through November 7, 2025.
Additionally, customers sending funds from Latin America and the Caribbean (LACA) will receive no transfer fees on transactions sent to bank accounts, the GK ONE wallet, and for cash payouts. This LACA offer is valid through November 3, 2025. The zero-fee commitment is also extended to all intra-island transfers, including retail transactions within Jamaica.
“We know how important remittances are, especially at a time like this,” said Margaret Campbell, CEO, GraceKennedy Money Services.

“So many families will rely on Western Union transfers to rebuild and recover. By waiving these fees, we ensure that those sending can deliver the maximum amount of assistance directly to those who need it now more than ever.”
As Western Union resumes operations across the island, Jamaicans can receive and send funds at reopened locations in Kingston and St Andrew, St Catherine, St Thomas, Clarendon, Manchester, St Ann, and Portland, with more locations reopening daily. Customers can check the latest updates on open locations at www.gkmsonline.com or follow @gkmsonline on social media.
For customers unable to collect at a physical location, GKMS is reminding them of the digital payout options, where funds can be received directly to their bank account via Direct-to-Bank or on the GK ONE wallet /debit card. Customers can sign up for Direct-to-Bank on www.gkmsonline.com or download the GK ONE App via Google Play or the AppStore.

The GK One app allows customers to conveniently send and receive Western Union remittances 24/7. Registration for GK ONE is simple, requiring only a taxpayer registration number (TRN) and a valid government-issued photo ID after downloading the app.
“Our priority is to make sure Jamaicans can access the funds they need, whether through our physical locations or digital channels,” Campbell explained.
“Western Union and GKMS are committed to standing with Jamaica and helping our people rebuild stronger than before.”
