A 23-three-year-old man has been charged for the June 26 murder of 20-year-old Jowayne Murray otherwise called ‘Joey’, in Geneva district in Westmoreland.

The man charge has been identified as Kyree Lynch of Crowder district, Grange Hill, also in Westmoreland.

Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police are that at about 5:30 pm, Murray was in the company of family members at a shop when a Toyota Axio motor car drove up.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. On Saturday, September 7, Lynch was apprehended during a targeted raid at Ramble District, Hanover. He was subsequently charged based on a witness statement. His court date is being finalized.
