At the onset of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, governments across the world introduced nightly curfews in efforts to curb the rate of spread.
In Trinidad and Tobago, where the twin-island republic is currently battling its worst spike in cases to date, citizens and the opposition United National Congress (UNC) continue to bemoan the heavy-handed curfew which begins at 9:00 pm nightly and ends at 5:00 am the following morning.
However, Minister of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Amery Browne argued that Trinidad is not alone within the Caribbean with respect to daily curfews.
“Curfew measures are currently in place in many jurisdictions across the world; contrary to the narrative of some folk, we are not alone,” Browne explained on his personal Facebook page, in a post on Tuesday (May 18).
Turns out, that Amery is indeed correct, as Our Today noted verifiable curfew hours across 17 countries and territories throughout the region.
