WhatsApp, the social messaging platform, has given users the ability to have two WhatsApp accounts simultaneously logged in on a single device.

This feature was announced on the company’s official blog on Thursday, October 19, and is set to be a game-changer for individuals who juggle between their work and personal lives, eliminating the need to log out repeatedly or carry two separate phones.

WhatsApp users will require a second phone number and SIM card, or a phone that supports multi-SIM or eSIM functionality to access the feature.

To set up the second account, navigate to WhatsApp settings, click on the arrow next to the user name, and select “Add account”. Users can control privacy and notification settings independently for each account, ensuring a seamless and personalised experience.
