Wigton Windfarm has successfully concluded the sale of its property located at Lot 28 Ferry Pen in the parish of St. Andrew, realizing gross cumulative gains of 10%.
The company has not disclosed the exact money fetched from the sale, which comes more than a year after it bought the property in early 2023 eyed for expansion, as Wigton looked to broaden its footprint beyond its Manchester operations.
The land, located along the busy Washington Boulevard corridor, was reportedly eyed for expansion, as the alternative energy company looked to broaden its footprint beyond its Manchester operations. Offloading this real estate comes in the midst, as Wigton streamlines its asset base as part of a sharper focus on new solar ventures and commercial energy services.

Wigton has been strengthening its presence in the commercial and industrial (C&I) energy space, completing solar installations for Carreras Limited and Jamaica Inn Limited, and developing new engineering, procurement, and construction contracts and leasing projects, including a 3MW solar and 4MWh battery system for Sangster International Airport.
