The Wisynco Group reigned supreme at the just concluded Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) awards ceremony coming out the biggest winner of the night.
The White Marl-based Wisynco copped three awards at the ceremony held Saturday night (September 30) at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel. They won the National Certification Body of Jamaica awards for Quality and Standards and the Charles Henderson award for breakthrough products/ service of the year in developing GrapeWata.
Wisynco also copped the inaugural JMEA-VM Group Legacy award with the company and its staff being judged a team focused on innovation and excellence.
There were other notable winners on the night such as the Seprod Group, which is again Jamaica’s top manufacturer for 2022-2023 having retained the Governor General trophy on the weekend.
While being proud of the award and honoured to be retaining the trophy, Seprod Group CEO, Richard Pandohie has indicated that the company is far away from being complacent.
In his response to copping the top manufacturer award, Pandohie remarked, “…still not where we want to be but these wins give us oxygen to keep pushing…congratulations to all the nominees and winners last night…must be good….”
The JMEA awards have become an annual tradition to honour outstanding achievements, innovation, and commitment within the manufacturing and export industries in Jamaica. The awards highlight the contributions of businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals who have demonstrated excellence in various categories, promoting growth and sustainability.
