The St Andrew South Police seized one 9mm P80 pistol with a magazine containing 18 rounds of ammunition during an operation Cockburn Gardens, Kingston 11 on Sunday.

Reports are that about 3:30 pm, lawmen were in the area and conducted a search of a premises on Finch Crescent.

During the search, the firearm was found inside a house.

Three men and a woman were taken into custody in relation to the seizure.

Their identities are being withheld pending further investigations.
