After a successful four-day exhibition at the return staging of the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA) Expo Jamaica, Wray Rum celebrated Fi Wi Culture. The rum brand won the first-place exhibitor awards for Most Interactive Booth and Booth with a “Wow” Factor. The stunning booth also earned second place in the exhibitor award competition for Buy Jamaican Spirit.

The booth celebrated Jamaican culture with bold colours and interactive activities for booth visitors daily. Expo attendees had opportunities to win giveaways, engage in live mixology classes with expert mixologist and flairtender, Captain Kidd and even witness live fire breathing.

J. Wray & Nephew Ltd, Marketing Manager Pavel Smith, who excitedly accepted the awards described the thought behind the Expo booth design.

“We wanted to show up as a picture of what it means to be Jamaican. We saw an opportunity in the exhibitor award competition for Jamaican spirit to showcase the vibrancy of our culture. It is no secret that Wray & Nephew is the official spirit of Jamaica 60. A title we have accepted with great pride. As such our team worked hard to create an atmosphere where visitors could relax, have fun and enjoy a drink in a space we knew would feel like home to our consumers,” Smith shared.

The Wray Rum booth space mimicked the vibrant Jamaican community bar scene with bar stools, multipurpose domino and ludo tables, lively music from resident DJs and a branded Jamaican handcart for visitor photo ops. Free samples of popular Wray Rum mixes were served by friendly bartenders all day while attendees enjoyed live domino matches.

Expo Jamaica was an excellent showcase of local industry and commerce. Congratulations to the JMEA and partners for another successful staging. We look forward to next year.

Booth visitors could also embark on a tour of Jamaica through the trending brand’s most recent innovation, the Parish Collection. The celebratory collection created a wall of Jamaican history told through cultural landmarks.

“Expo Jamaica was an excellent showcase of local industry and commerce. Congratulations to the JMEA and partners for another successful staging. We look forward to next year,” Smith added.
