Regional business visibility and local discovery company Yello Media Group (YMG) says it is undergoing its strategic transition to a leaner, more focused business model anchored in proprietary platforms and high-impact services.

Now in its 65th year of operation, the company’s transformation, originally set in motion under the internal banner of The Sunset Project, marks a bold move away from third-party digital marketing services in favour of purpose-built tools that deliver measurable value to Caribbean businesses and consumers.

With this realignment nearing full implementation across its 21 markets, YMG is retiring its third-party digital services—including website development, social media advertising, and content creation.

At the same time, it has reaffirmed and enhanced its investment in its core owned platforms, such as FindYello.com, Print Search Solutions, and Listing Management Services, which continue to deliver robust results for businesses across the region.

“This transition was about doubling down on what we do best,” said Keisha-Maria Cools-Lartigue, executive director of products, marketing and content at YMG. “We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We’re focusing on what works — the proprietary platforms and tools we’ve built to meet the specific needs of Caribbean businesses in today’s search-driven, hyper-local marketplace. Our priority remains clear: connecting businesses with real purchase opportunities and delivering measurable economic value through solutions that are both relevant and results-driven.”

What’s next

YMG’s current offering is intentionally streamlined to reflect the real needs of modern businesses navigating a hybrid print-and-digital ecosystem. Its enhanced services now include:

  • FindYello.com – A local search powerhouse attracting over 4.8 million users annually, is now undergoing a UX refresh and AI-enhanced listing to improve business discovery and lead conversion
  • Listing Management Services – Synchronises business details across 200+ platforms, including Google, Facebook, Apple Maps and more, ensuring consistency, discoverability, and AI-readiness
  • Print Search Solutions – Continues to provide high-visibility offline engagement in key markets such as Jamaica, Barbados, Antigua, and Belize through modernised directories that bridge print with digital via QR codes, premium display ads, and real-time analytics

This sharper focus allows YMG to deliver simplified solutions with deeper impact — offering not just visibility, but meaningful performance insights and guidance that help businesses grow with confidence. “We’ve moved from being a service provider to being a strategic partner,” says Sheryl Robinson, executive director of client service. “Our teams are consultants now — helping clients show up where it matters, track results in real-time, and evolve with the digital economy.”

Customer-centric support model

The shift is being executed under a phased transition plan to realign YMG’s operations with its long-term strategic vision. To ensure client success throughout this transformation, YMG implemented a proactive communication and support strategy. This included tailored outreach explaining the benefits of the new model, incentive programmes and promotions for transitioning customers, and a referral network of vetted third-party service providers to ensure continuity where needed.

YMG’s post-transition future also includes upcoming launches such as deals (a dynamic new feature designed to help advertisers showcase their latest offers, promotions, and discounts directly on their dedicated deals page at FindYello.com), and the market place (a dynamic digital platform that brings Caribbean consumers and businesses into one convenient location), “This transformation is not just about Yello,” Cools-Lartigue emphasised. “It’s about supporting Caribbean businesses through change. We’re proud to be a platform that’s not only trusted, but ready to meet the moment — now and into the future.”
