100 of Jamaica’s most outstanding teachers honoured

In a remarkable celebration of dedication and excellence in education, Carlong Publishers (Caribbean), in partnership with the Jamaica Teaching Council (JTC) honoured 100 of Jamaica’s most outstanding teachers.

They were toasted at a joint Carlong Publishers/JTC Teachers’ Appreciation Luncheon and Awards ceremony held on November 20 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.

The event, themed ‘Empowering Educators for a Sustainable Future’, highlighted the transformative impact of teachers across all seven educational regions. These educators were recognised not only for fostering the educational growth of Jamaica’s children but also for their pivotal role in shaping the nation’s future. 

Attendees, including Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Skills, Youth, and Information, Dr. Kasan Troupe, as she joined Carlong in celebrating the honourees with heartfelt tributes, fine dining, and lively entertainment. 

This prestigious event reflects Carlong’s ongoing commitment to recognizing educators as partners in the nation’s development.
