Brad Arnold, founding member and lead singer of 3 Doors Down, has passed away peacefully at the age of 47, surrounded by his wife, family, and loved ones.
Arnold had been battling stage 4 kidney cancer, which had spread to his lungs after a diagnosis.
Arnold helped shape 3 Doors Down’s sound from the very beginning in 1996, remaining the band’s only original member throughout its rise to fame.
He wrote enduring hits like Kryptonite while still in high school and was part of the group’s string of platinum-selling albums, including their seven-times platinum debut, The Better Life.
He is the second founding member of the band to die, following guitarist Matt Roberts’ passing back in 2016.
