49-year-old delivery driver arrested for smuggling $29 million worth of cocaine

A 49-year-old man from the parish of St Elizabeth was reportedly caught attempting to smuggle $29 million worth of cocaine through the Sangster International Airport on Thursday (June 8).

Garie Cartie Graham, a delivery driver was charged on Saturday following the drug bust by the Jamaica Constabulary Force Narcotics Division.

He was arrested on reasonable suspicion of breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act. He is set to appear in the St James Parish Court on Friday (June 16).

According to reports, Graham arrived at the Sangster International Airport around 3 p.m. on Thursday to board a flight to London, England.

The illegal substance was found tucked away in a false compartment of Graham’s luggage with a street value of £150,000.
