5 Things to Know about Melicia Jones
- Outside of finance, I’m a huge video game enthusiast — I enjoy strategy and competitive games that challenge decision-making and problem-solving in real time. I’ve always liked activities that keep me thinking, and gaming gives me a fun way to test my focus and instincts. It’s one of the ways I relax, but it also keeps my mind active in a way that I enjoy.
- I am a true foodie and love exploring new restaurants, cuisines and dining experiences. Good food and good company are always worth making time for. I love discovering new places and sharing meals with people I care about. For me, food is about more than eating- it’s about connection, culture and making time for meaningful moments.
- I am an adrenaline junkie at heart. I enjoy experiences that push boundaries and keep life exciting — from skydiving and ziplining to other adventure-driven activities. I like stepping outside my comfort zone and doing things that remind me how exciting life can be. Those experiences give me a sense of freedom and help me stay open to new challenges and possibilities.
- I enjoy reading and continuous learning, particularly motivational and personal development books, autobiographies and suspense novels. Some of my favourites include Who Moved My Cheese?, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Shoe Dog and novels by James Patterson. Reading is one of the ways I keep growing, both personally and professionally. I like books that inspire reflection, offer practical lessons or simply give me an engaging escape at the end of a busy day.
- Many people know me as a results-driven executive, but outside of work I am actually very laid-back and enjoy balancing high-performance environments with fun, adventure and meaningful experiences. I think balance is important because it keeps me grounded and helps me bring my best self to everything I do. While I take my work seriously, I also value enjoyment, relaxation and creating a life that feels full and well-rounded.
