The anticipation of what the new year will bring can incite anxiety due to uncertainty, but at least now we’ll have something to momentarily distract us from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. We can indulge ourselves back into the world of some of our favourite series and finally get some closure from those cliffhangers. Though some shows have not definitively come out with a release date, they are to be released before the year’s end.

Here’s the list:

Top Boy (Season 3)

“For those that have followed the journey from the start, you will know how much this show means to everyone on our team and we wholeheartedly know how much it means to you,” says Top Boy cast members Ashley Walters and Kane Robinson.

“Every story must have an ending and so season three will be our finale. A chance to come full circle and end the journey in the right way.”

With season two’s ending leaving us all on a major cliffhanger, this upcoming season is a highly anticipated watch.

The Witcher (Season 3)

Set to return over the summer, The Witcher is back for its third season. A young Ciri is navigating her magical abilities with the help of Geralt and Yennefer. With the entire continent set out to conquer Ciri and her powers, the trio will have to keep an eye out for one another. The stakes are rising and it will be exciting to see how the show carries out the storyline.

After the closure of Moordale Secondary, Otis and Eric will be facing their first day of college at Cavendish Sixth Form- the new frontier.

You (Season 4)

After his seemingly dream life fell apart terribly, the notorious serial killer returns to our screens as he moves to Europe. He goes off in search of the other woman he found himself obsessing over during the duration of the previous season, after he had murdered his wife and abandoned his young child with a neighbouring family. The premiere is set for February 10.

The upcoming season has a promising storyline as it is set to cover a multitude of events such as 9/11, the death of the Queen Mother, Princess Diana’s death, Tony Blair’s relationship with the queen and the Golden Jubilee. The release date has not been announced but fans predict it might be in November of this year based on the trend of the previous seasons’ release dates.
