Worsening COVID outbreak wallops Jamaica, 878 new cases confirmed

Jamaica’s worsening coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis continues to hit the country hard, as the island confirmed 878 new cases in the last 24 hours—the third time in as many days the daily record has tumbled.

Within the three-day period, Jamaica has confirmed 2,128 cases.

A total of 26,904 cumulative cases have been confirmed to date.

More details to come later as we await the publication of the ministry’s clinical management summary.
