Jamaican music radio station Fyah 105 FM is showing no signs of slowing down after snatching up one of the country’s top disc jockeys (DJs), Bambino, in September.
Fyah 105 FM on Sunday (October 3) announced a new group of personalities it hopes will excite and “burn up the airways” starting today.
“Jamaica’s hit music station just got to a whole ‘nother level with the newest members of the #FyahFam,” read a social media post from Fyah 105 on Sunday.
The music station said it was expanding its horizons and ready to keep listeners locked in with its new ‘electric group’ of personalities to the radio station.
Bambino reacted to the announcement on his Instagram page saying “Welcome to Fyah 105 FM new level unlocked”.
The shows premiering on Monday include:
· The BIM Show – featuring Bambino and Jade from Romeich Entertainment at 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. on weekdays
· Fire It Up – featuring Copper Shaun and Chiney K from the Social House at 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on weekdays
· Scorched – featuring DJ Nova and Brush1 at 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. on weekdays
Bambino, born Orrett Hart, was appointed programmes director of the station last month.
BIG THINGS TO COME
He has since then gone on to lead a renaissance of the radio station that has been feeding the insatiable appetite of Jamaicans with a dynamic mix of music genres which was the original formula in place at the inception of the station eight years ago.
Bambino has hinted on big things to come for the station.
“So, we’re really looking forward to bringing a lot of new stuff in,” the DJ said.
Bambino revealed that he would be the leading man in his very own programme, starting at 6:00 am running through to 10:00 am each week day.
“It will be called The BIM Show,” he added.
