The Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) has confirmed that fireproof cabinets containing examination papers for nine subjects scheduled to be administered this week were stolen from a school in Jamaica.

While CXC did not name the school from which the examination materials were stolen, it says the matter ‘is of grave concern’ and is currently being investigated by the Ministry of National Security and the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).

CXC in a statement on Wednesday said that it is determining the course of action and will communicate with the Ministries of Education.

Reports are that the administrative building of the St. James High School was reportedly broken into Tuesday night (June 13) where thieves made off with documents including Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) Math Paper 1 written papers.

This incident follows the CXC Math Paper 2 leak in earlier weeks.
