Nigerian Afrobeats star Burna Boy will be in Kingston this coming Monday (July 10), as he drops in on Constant Spring Road’s Uptown Mondays at Savannah Plaza.

Fresh from being the main draw at this year’s Champion’s League final pre-show, Burna Boy will be continuing his birthday celebrations in Jamaica.

Burna Boy, whose real name is Damini Ebunoluma Ogulu, rose to stardom in 2012 after releasing ‘Like to Party‘, the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.. In 2017, he signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music internationally.

Burna Boy’s sixth studio album Love Damini was released in July 2022 and became the highest debut of an African album on the Billboard 200 chart.

The hitmaker’s music is mainly pop and Afrobeats. He describes his music as Afro-fusion, which blends the genres R&B, hip hop, dancehall and reggae.

Earlier this week, Jamaica’s very own Jada Kingdom celebrated Burna Boy’s birthday with him in Amsterdam.

Last December, Berna Boy performed at the National Stadium as part of his “Love Damini” tour.
