Jamaican sprinting sensation and current 100m women’s world champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce marked her return to the track on Thursday, July 20, with victory in her 100m at the Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern 2023.

Fraser-Pryce cruised to the winning mark to set a meeting record with a time of 10.82, making it the fourth fastest-time run this year. The other times were done by fellow Jamaican sprinter Shericka Jackson, U.S. sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson, and Ivory Coast’s Marie Josée Ta Lou.

With the 2023 world championships in Budapest, Hungary, next month fast approaching, the world is waiting to see who will be this year’s sprint queen.
