UTECH’s President’s Knight’s Day aims to build pride, excellence among students

The University of Technology Jamaica (UTech) on October 12 celebrated President’s Knight’s Day as part of its 65th-anniversary celebration, which is geared towards fostering school pride among staff and students.

“Today on President’s Knight’s, we’re taking time to pause and to acknowledge and celebrate all that it means to be UTech, ja. and to be a UTech Knight,” said Dr Kevin Brown, president of Utech.

He added that “the UTech Knight is a symbol of school pride and excellence in all areas: academics, sports, and service to our communities and surrounding communities.”

He noted that the Knights of UTech, Jamaica possess the core values of respect, accountability, integrity, service, excellence, innovation, and team spirit, underscoring that President’s Knight’s Day is all about celebrating these core values.
