The National Water Commission (NWC) is encouraging customers to use alternative communication channels to make contact as it seeks to restore its toll-free telephone line.
According to the NWC, an intermittent fault over the past few days on its toll-free number has resulted in callers not being able to consistently get through to an agent.
Consequently, it is working with external service providers to permanently fix the issue.
In the meantime, customers are asked to visit the NWC website at www.nwcjamaica.com, use the webchat facility, email the water company, download and use the NWC mobile app, or contact it on any of its social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or X.

“While a quick restoration is being hoped for, the NWC has increased the resources deployed to those other channels to ensure quick responses are available to customers,” the NWC wrote in a press release.
The water utility also apologised to customers for any inconvenience experienced.
The NWC supplies 190 million gallons of potable water each day to more than two million persons across Jamaica.
