A section of the westbound carriageway of Spanish Town Road, in the vicinity of Callaloo Mews, will be closed this weekend to facilitate the replacement of a pipe culvert across the roadway.
According to the National Works Agency (NWA), the closure will take effect from 8:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 4, 2024.
The westbound lanes toward Six Miles will be temporarily inaccessible to vehicular traffic. Westbound vehicles will be redirected to the single lane on the eastbound carriage. Eastbound vehicles heading towards Three Miles will utilise the remaining two lanes of the eastbound carriage.
Motorists are urged to obey the instructions of flag persons and warning signs posted at the location.

Manager of Communication and Customer Services at the NWA, Stephen Shaw, says the culvert in the vicinity of Louis Industrial will be replaced this weekend. The other culvert, across from Callaloo Mews Housing Scheme, will be replaced the following weekend.
The roadway will be reinstated and paved with asphaltic concrete following the installation of the culverts.
